BBC News on Israel Hour

If anyone can turn on BBC news right now, or NPR in the US, you’ll find a full show on Israel: on the shafting of Romanian workers, on the relevancy of Aliya, on how a British Oleh feels about the occcupation…They’re doing quite a number. Maybe the fact that the IDF has held back in the face of the recent Palestinian attacks has given them anti-Zionist-withdrawal, and they had to find some way to criticise the Jews.
And yes, I think that when non-Jews constantly focuse on Israel they are somewhat ill–there is much more out there than our small country, and many other things to talk about.

Black Listing Jews

The Muslim Public Affairs Committee, an outfit based in Britain describing itself as “not a charity but a unique Empowerment System; the first of its kind for the Muslims in Europe and it is our aim to defend Muslim interests and Islam throughout Britain and the world,” has started a campaign to out the Jews in PM Tony Blair’s administration. (HT Andrew Sullivan–he’s on fire today.)
Called the Men in Tony’s Life, the site presents a short blurb on each of the Jews and their supposed power over Britain. They also ask for readers to support Yasmin Ali Bhai Brown, an anti-Semite clothing herself in anti-Zionism, and also a fundamentalist and anti-modernist broadcaster. They are also supporting a Muslim Holocaust and Remembrance Day which lists grotesque numbers and seems to one-up the Shoa–the Holocaust of the Jews in WWII–by stretching it back 1400 years. But then again, such opinions are accepted in Britain now-a-days.
