The lucky ones found Mattisyahu in Washington Square Park today.
I always enjoy his performances–not least because he returns knowledge to its rightful place as the crux of reggae music. In the middle of today’s performance he went into a dvar torah on the meaning of one of his songs: The third temple is the one we build in our souls. Each of us is a brick to be set, for us to set, together we build up our love.
Cheesy? Kinda. But beautiful and nicely said before the New Year.
