Ethics of Ultimate Ends

Just to work on a Max Weber saying, the Likud party has certainly given up their ethics of responsibility in favor of their ethics of ultimate ends.
Potentially tying Sharon’s hands by voting against national unity talks with the Labor party was not stupid, in my eyes, but malicious. No, I do not think there is one simple solution to the problems of the Middle East–so I don’t think that disengagement is the only way to go. But to not create a national unity government during these times of transition–as the fence is built and the international community’s voice is rising against it–is to step on the State’s feet when it needs decisiveness.
