Terrorist Attack Today in Jerusalem

One of the main points being made in the coverage of the terrorist attack in Jerusalem is that “Palestinian militants had threatened revenge attacks after a failed Israeli assassination attempt on Hamas leader Abdel Aziz Rantisi on Tuesday.”
Just a point: terrorist attacks normally take atleast a week to recruit, plan and then carry out. For this attack to be a product of the failed assasination attempt would mean either that a sleeper cell was activated, or that the attack was launched a week ago. Either way, it totally flies in the face of the idea that Hamas was about to accept a ceasfire.
